The Virginia Ash Pub in Henstridge presents its Wine of The Week- Rioja Monte Llano 2019
Rioja is a Spanish classic, and no better example of this is the 2019 harvest Rioja Monte Llano. It is the perfect partner for all things grilled!
Unusually this fresh fruit wine, made from the Tempranillo grape is produced without the use of Oak maturation. It is a bright red violet coloured wine with a purple tint and has aromas of redcurrants and blackberries. Think 'forest fruits' when you taste it.
The producers of this fine wine have been voted Spanish Winery of the Year in 2009 and again in 2014 and the 'Bodegas' was first established in 1924, nearly 100 years ago. It is one of the first Spanish wines to be classified D.O.C.a. and luckily for you the harvest rating for 2019 was "Excelente".
