This year we are open from 11.30am on Sunday 10th March to welcome all the families who have booked so far, and we would urge you to make a booking soon to avoid dissappointment!
Speaking of tradition, the first 'modern' Mother's Day was celebrated in 1907 in......Virginia! By 1911 American Civil War peace protester Anna Jarvis had persuaded all U.S. states to observe this special day, and in 1914, President Woodrow Wilson signed a proclamation designating Mother's Day as a national holiday to honor mothers. It wasn't too long after that when we started following this tradition, which has been celebrated now for over 100 years. Have a look at our Sunday Lunch menu below, then book your table soon...
